The Sabres clinched 30th place with a 4-2 loss at Columbus Friday night.

The two teams

Buffalo         81     23     50      8           54

Arizona (1): April 11 vs. Anaheim (9 p.m.)

Lottery Odds

The team finishing last overall has a 20% chance of receiving the No. 1 overall pick but will draft no worse than second. The team finishing next-to-last overall has a 13.5%  chance of drafting first. The odds of drafting first continue to diminish moving upward in the standings as such: 11.5%,  9.5%, 8.5%, 7.5%, 6.5%, 6%, 5%, 3.5%, 3%, 2.5%, 2%, 1%.

Tiebreaker

If two teams are tied for a position, the tiebreaker is total regulation and overtime wins. If there is a tie for last place, Buffalo (15 regulation/overtime wins to Arizona's 19) would be 30th.
