ALBION – The Rev. Roy D. Harriger, 71, was ordered by Orleans County Judge James P. Punch on Monday to spend up to the next 15 years in state prison on his conviction for molesting one of his male and one of his female grandchildren over a decade ago.

Before the jury trial began , Punch dismissed a third case against Harriger involving allegations of the molestation of a six-year-old boy. An appeal of the conviction is expected to be filed by attorneys for Harriger, through none was available to comment Monday evening. The judge Monday imposed a 7 1/2-year prison term for the molestations of each grandchild and ruled the sentences are to run consecutively.
