LEWISTON – Those who love to perform – from poets to comics and musicians to dancers – are able to get their time in the spotlight at Toast and Jam, which is back again for six-weeks on Mondays, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Brickyard Pub, 432 Center St.
The jazz-jamming, blues-rocking, poetry-reading event could be just the thing to cure the winter blues. It continues through March 23.
Singer-songwriter Dale Campbell hosts the entertainment each evening.
Highlights from Toast and Jam are featured throughout the year on Lockport Community Television and performers are invited to take advantage of this opportunity.
Performers sign up as they arrive and play on a first-come, first-served basis. Most of the performers are not professionals. They just perform for the love of it.
“Part of being in the audience, is never knowing what to expect. It’s a great atmosphere,” said Campbell in a notice announcing the event.
Those attending the evening event are also invited to enjoy the food served at the Brickyard.
Toast and Jam is presented by the Lewiston Council on the Arts and sponsored by Lewiston Brickyard Pub, Lockport Community Television, Cataract Printing, Lewiston Music and Vic’s Woodshed Music.
