NIAGARA FALLS – Former restaurateur and Niagara County Legislator Jason Murgia has been named general manager of the Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls, the company that manages the facility announced Tuesday.

Murgia, who had been director of events at the center for four years, was assistant general manager last year. Murgia succeeds Ryan Coate, who has been named general manager of Canalside in Buffalo.

Other positions announced by Global Spectrum, which also manages events on Old Falls Street, included Katie Kielaszek as director of special events for the street; Andres Cintron as director of operations, Jason Gannon and Ashleigh Freiday as event service managers and David Pruett II as banquet manager for the conference center;
