Sloan woman arrested for aggravated DWI

BATAVIA – A 38-year-old Sloan woman was arrested on a charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child and leaving the scene of an accident after allegedly running over a mailbox last Sunday on Route 77 near Corfu.

Jody M. Buck was arrested by State Police on Route 5 after her front-end damaged car was identified by Corfu police as the vehicle described as crashing into the mailbox earlier in the day. Troopers confirmed that parts of the offending car left near the mailbox matched Buck’s vehicle. Buck, who had a juvenile in the car with her was taken to the State Police office here where she registered a blood-alcohol reading of 0.14 percent. After her arraignment in Pembroke Town Court she was released without bail pending further proceedings in that court next week.
