Two 7-Eleven clerks face felony charges in thefts

NIAGARA FALLS – Two clerks at a 7-Eleven at 2620 Niagara St. are facing felony grand larceny charges for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars from store cash registers.

Allison Vega, 25, of B Street and Tiffany M. Hout, 33, of Willow Avenue were each charged Tuesday afternoon with fourth-degree grand larceny in separate theft cases.

Vega admitted to police that she stole approximately $1,800, $300 per week, over a six week period. She had allegedly been using a function on the cash register as a price check, but actually selling the items to customers and then removing the cash from the store.

Hout was allegedly using a similar method to cash out customers, putting the cash to the side, to take $1,200 from the store over a three week period.
