Kaleida Health will present Dr. Gary Grosner and Dr. Elad I. Levy the “Spirit Award” at the 2014 Kaleida Ball on Sept. 27 in the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center. Grosner, associated with Buffalo General Medical Center since 1992, is an assistant clinical professor of surgery at the University at Buffalo and serves as a consulting surgeon at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo and ECMC. He graduated from McGill University before receiving his medical degree from the University of Connecticut. Levy is the director of stroke research, co-director of the Kaleida Health Stroke Center and cerebrovascular surgery, director of endovascular stroke treatment and research, and director of the Toshiba neuroendovascular catheterization laboratory. He is also chairman of neurological surgery and professor of neurosurgery and radiology at UB. Levy graduated from Dartmouth College, received his MBA from Northeastern University and his medical degree from George Washington University.


Meals on Wheels for WNY President and Chief Executive Officer Tara A. Ellis served on a national panel for the Meals on Wheels Association of America, which she serves as secretary of the board of directors. The panel focused on the value of state associations, the importance of advocacy and education, and shared best practices.
