Jamestown man arrested for pot after routine traffic stop

MAYVILLE -- A 31-year-old Jamestown man was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail without bail on drug charges after the car in which he was a passenger was stopped Thursday by State troopers in the Town of Ellicott for allegedly not using a turn signal.

Troopers said they found Sean D. Harris to be in possession of a quantity of a narcotic drug. As he was being driven to Ellicott Town Court he allegedly tried to destroy some physical evidence. He was being held without bail on felony charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance outside its original container and tampering with physical evidence.
