Andover man accused of trafficking in drugs, marijuana

BELMONT – A Town of Andover man was arrested Friday on an Allegany County grand jury indictment alleging he trafficked in illegal drugs and marijuana in the Wellsville area in recent months.

Joshua J. Williams, 28, of Route 417 was taken into custody by investigators of the Allegany County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit. Allegany County Sheriff Rickey L. Whitney said the arrest was the result of a lengthy investigation.

Williams, who is being held in the Allegany County Jail without bail, is charged with criminal possession of marijuana, criminal sale of marijuana, criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal sale of a controlled substance. Williams sold drugs and marijuana to an undercover agent, Williams said.
