OnCore Golf, manufacturer of the United States Golf Association-approved hollow metal core golf ball, named Joseph J. White president and chief operating officer. White, who has more than 30 years of experience in the golf industry, previously was president of the Gary Player Group and has had roles with Dunlop Tire and Rubber Corp.’s Sports Company, Yamaha International Corp. and the Portman Companies.


Hasek’s Heroes, a local nonprofit, named John Tucker general manager. Tucker, who was recently named head coach and assistant general manager of the Buffalo Jr. Sabres Junior A team, was a former National Hockey League center. He will oversee and manage operations at two of the three City of Buffalo-owned ice rinks under the responsibility of Hasek’s Heroes: Timothy J. Burvid Ice Rink in Cazenovia Park and Rueben “Bud” Bakewell Ice Rink in Riverside Park.


Community Health Center of Buffalo Chief Operating Officer Al Hammonds was one of this year’s 44 graduates of the UCLA/ Johnson & Johnson Health Care Executive Program, an 11-day program at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. The program is designed to enhance the management and leadership skills of executives from community health centers, and executive directors and emerging leaders of AIDS service organizations.

Cummins-Wagner Co. has completed its acquisition of J.L. Moore Inc. Located in Orchard Park, J.L. Moore is a manufacturer’s representative for valves, pump systems and process equipment for the water supply, wastewater and hydroelectric markets, and has been supplying water systems solutions to the New York markets since 1957. J.L. Moore will become part of Siewert Equipment, a division of Cummins-Wagner-Siewert.

Buffalo-area law enforcement officers will take to the roofs of several Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants today for the annual “Cops on Top” to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics New York. Participating Dunkin’ Donuts will offer guests a coupon for a free coffee as a thank- you when they make a monetary donation to Special Olympics New York.
