YOUNGSTOWN – A Niagara Falls teenager faces several charges stemming from a Friday morning accident in which she hit a parked vehicle, sheriff’s deputies said.

Marissa M. Pawlak, 18, of 70th Street was arrested following the 4:30 a.m. accident on Main Street, deputies said. She was charged with driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle while using a mobile telephone and operating a vehicle after consuming alcohol while under age 21. A Porter Town Court appearance was scheduled.

Deputies said that Pawlak was driving home from the apartment of two friends – also teenagers – after having consumed some vodka drinks, when the accident occurred. She reportedly told deputies that she was reaching for her cellular telephone when she struck the parked car. Pawlak was taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for evaluation following the crash.
