LOCKPORT – The Town Board voted Wednesday to sell a vacant lot at 6804 Erica Lane to town residents William and Renee Stockwell for $21,000.
The property was listed with a real estate company after the town demolished an abandoned house there a year ago, Town Attorney Michael J. Norris said. The 80-by-165-foot lot was assessed at $24,000.
The board also voted to seek sealed bids, due by Sept. 8, for a 70-by-260-foot vacant residential lot at 6892 E. High St. The town ordered an abandoned house there demolished in April.
Councilman Paul W. Siejak said the assessed valuation of the land is $14,000.
Also this week, Chief Building Inspector Brian M. Belson said residents of a 23-unit apartment building at 6315 Robinson Road were allowed to move back in after most repairs to code violations there were completed by Aug. 15. The residents were ordered out July 30.
