ATV collision in Pembroke sends four to hospitals

A collision between two ATVs just after 11 p.m. Sunday in the vicinity of 2069 Route 5 sent four people to the hospital, according to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office.

The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office said the two four-wheeled ATVs, each with a driver and passenger, were in the roadway at the time of the collision. All four were thrown from the vehicles.

MercyFlight flew one passenger to Erie County Medical Center, and the driver of the same ATV was taken to ECMC by ambulance. The driver and passenger of the second ATV were taken to United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia by a private vehicle and were later transferred to ECMC for treatment.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by members of the E. Pembroke, Pembroke, Indian Falls and Town of Batavia Volunteer Fire Departments along with Mercy Medics and MercyFlight. The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
