The 10K ruck march isn’t a competition, but all entrants will be timed. Competitors carry ruck sacks filled with canned goods, which are donated after the event.

Check-in starts at 9 a.m. and the march begins at 11.

Vets For Vets are sponsoring the event, which is being hosted by the Erie County Veterans Service Agency and the Department of Parks, Recreation & Forestry.

It’s open to people 18 and older, as well as teams. The cost is $55 per person for those in the military and $60 for civilians.
