An argument at a West Side rooming house sent one man to the hospital with multiple bruises and a slash to the back of his head, according to police reports released Sunday.
The injured man said he got into an argument with three other residents of a rooming house on St. Johns Place.
One of the three punched and kicked him, then joined with a second man hitting him in the head with a baseball bat, he said.
When he tried to lock himself in his room, the man said, a third rooming house resident used a sledge hammer to destroy his door.
The injured man went to Buffalo General Medical Center for treatment, receiving six to eight staples to close the wound in the back of his head, police said.
No arrests were made as of Sunday afternoon.
