LOCKPORT – For the second time this week, a Lockport teenager was granted youthful offender status by Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas in connection with a March 29 burglary and robbery at a Pine Street apartment.

Thursday, a Genesee Street 17-year-old, who had pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary, was placed on five years’ probation and ordered to submit to a year of electronic home monitoring. The defendant also must pay the victim $140 in restitution.

Tuesday, An Elmwood Avenue 18-year-old also received youthful offender status in the case, but was sentenced to a year in the County Jail.

The third man in the case, Demitirius R. Cole, 19, of Gooding Street, is awaiting sentencing.
