NIAGARA FALLS – A man riding a bicycle told police he was robbed by a man wearing a ski mask Monday night.

But police said there are holes in the story.

The 24-year-old victim said he had left a restaurant in the Town of Niagara when he was attacked by the robber, who pistol-whipped him and stole $60. Police said the bicyclist – who had a cut above his eye and was missing a sneaker – was disoriented and unable to say where the robbery occurred, and also changed his story.

He was treated in Mount St. Mary’s Hospital, Lewiston.
