LEWISTON – A Town of Porter woman was charged under Leandra’s Law after she was stopped on Lutts Road in the Town of Porter about 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputy Marc Reele said that Sherry L. Krantz, 41, appeared to be intoxicated and had her two children, ages 15 and 12, in the vehicle she was driving.

She was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, felony first-degree aggravated unlicensed driving, endangering the welfare of a child and driving without an interlock device.

It also was determined that there was a warrant for her arrest for second-degree aggravated unlicensed driving. She was held in Niagara County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail after arraignment in Porter Town Court.
