Where we live: Lancaster

The village’s Office of Emergency Management has several new ways to inform the community, beginning with a redesigned website: www.LancasterOEM.org.

“On this site, you can learn about the OEM, obtain disaster preparedness information, view community events and contact numbers, stream live audio, report hazards and receive emergency information,” said Scott M. Kuhlmey, director of emergency management.

Now available is a free, mobile app through Google and Apple. By downloading “lancasteroem,” residents can receive notifications, report hazards, sign up for the newsletter, share photos and more. The app can publish emergency declarations and related documents.

Information also can be accessed via Facebook at LancasterVillageOEM and on Twitter@LancasterOEM.
