LOCKPORT – Friday is the last day to register to vote in the Sept. 9 primary election.

The Niagara County Board of Elections, 111 Main St., Lockport, will be open until 7 p.m. Thursday, two hours later than usual, to accommodate last-minute registration. Voters must join a political party to be eligible to vote in that party’s primary. Also, anyone who has moved since the last time they voted must re-register.

Registration forms are always available at banks, post offices, public libraries and city and town halls, as well as the Board of Elections office.
