Man pleads not guilty to gun possession in domestic case

LOCKPORT – A man who was accused of firing a handgun in the presence of his live-in girlfriend and then holding the gun to her head pleaded not guilty Friday in Niagara County Court.

Daniel B. Riehle, 59, of Niagara Falls Boulevard, Niagara Falls, was living on Tuscarora Road in the Town of Niagara at the time of the alleged incident April 1.

Police found the gun behind a pillow that had an apparent bullet hole in it. A grand jury indicted Riehle on a single count of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He is free on a $50,000 bail bond
