Falls man pleads guilty to felony pot possession

LOCKPORT - A man who had 4.62 pounds of marijuana packaged for sale when his federal probation officer visited his home last year pleaded guilty Friday in Niagara County Court.

Marcus M. Hall, 39, of Ontario Avenue, Niagara Falls, is to be sentenced Sept. 5 by County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas for a reduced charge of attempted second-degree criminal possession of marijuana. He forfeited $782 seized in the Aug. 21 arrest.

Hall was on federal probation for unlawful possession of a firearm by a marijuana user, a crime he committed in November 2008. Farkas’ sentence will be concurrent with the federal probation violation sentence.
