LOCKPORT – An admitted drug dealer who was given a chance to prove himself to Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas on interim probation did so.

Thursday, Farkas sentenced Aaron R. Ware to five years’ probation for his original plea to a reduced charge of attempted third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.

Ware, 37, of Gorton Street, Buffalo, sold $1,400 worth of cocaine to a police informant May 2, 2013, in North Tonawanda. Farkas said Ware went through drug counseling and performed 100 hours of community service since she placed him on interim probation in February. Her reason at that time was that imprisoning Ware would leave his wife alone to care for four autistic children.
