Metro Bus service revs up during Erie County Fair

Fairgoers can avoid parking costs and traffic congestion by taking Metro Bus to the Erie County Fair from Wednesday through Aug. 17.

Service will be provided via the 14 Abbott and 16 South Park routes. The 14 Abbott bus leaves Mohawk and Washington streets downtown each weekday starting at 7:55 a.m., on Saturdays at 7:30 a.m. and Sundays, 8:30 a.m.

Return rides from the fairgrounds on Bus 14 run from 9:20 a.m. weekdays, 9:32 a.m. Saturdays and 9:35 a.m. Sundays. The Last run is 11:05 each night.

The Route 16 buses also leave from Mohawk and Washington, starting at 12:45 weekdays, and returning from 2:17 to 8 p.m. On Saturdays, service is from 8:29 a.m. to 6:58 p.m., and Sundays, 11:04 a.m. to 5:04 p.m.

Also, Route 36 Hamburg will operate regularly with extended trips on McKinley Parkway and service at the McKinley fairgrounds entrance.
