North Pearl Street man arrested for assaulting a Lackawanna man

A 35-year-old man was arrested for allegedly biting a Lackawanna man on the cheek, scratching his face and neck and smashing his cell phone to the ground during an incident at Elmwood Avenue and Allen Street about 2 a.m. Thursday.

Kenyon K. Kelly of North Pearl Street was charged with third-degree assault, criminal mischief, petit larceny for the cell phone incident and harassment. The victim, who was not identified, said after their street fight Kelly followed him to a nearby bar where the manager called police.
