Lockport Community Market adds new vendors

LOCKPORT – The Lockport Community Market, which runs on Canal Street from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Saturday through Sept. 27, will offer three new vendors this week, manager Heather B. Peck said.

They are Fashion to a T, offering T-shirt necklaces, earrings and original oil paintings; Grandma Katie, with quilts and little girl dresses; and Winslow’s Choice, selling apricot, blueberry, tart cherry and peach jams and oatmeal raisin cranberry cookies.

Every week, the market features live entertainment, activities and demonstrations, and vendors offering fresh produce, meat, baked goods, local wine, jewelry and gifts.

Vendors are still being accepted each week as space allows. Those interested should call Peck at 434-0212.

There is a free yoga class every week from 7 to 8 a.m., before the market opens, at the Canal Street gazebo. From 9 to 10 a.m., local musician Bob Farmer will play folk music in the gazebo, and from 12:30 to 1;30 p.m., Luke W. Hall & the Lower Mountain Band will take the gazebo stage.
