A Winspear Avenue man was charged with taking part in the armed robberies of a woman and a man during separate incidents in the Fillmore Avenue early Tuesday.

Rayquan Brooks, 18, was captured as he was allegedly hiding in a back yard on W. Utica near Fillmore about 1 a.m. Brooks was charged with multiple counts of first-degree robbery, weapons possession and reckless endangerment for his alleged role in the robbery of cash and a cell phone from a woman on Wohlers Avenue near East Ferry Street about 12:10 AM and the armed robbery of $200 cash, a cell phone, a government benefit card and a Gucci belt from a man on Kehr Street near Box Avenue about 12:30 a.m. A second suspect was being sought.
