Luke Adam, who has played parts of four seasons with Buffalo, has signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Sabres, the team announced Sunday.
Adam, 6-foot-2, 206 pounds, has played mainly center with the organization since he was drafted 44th overall in 2008. Last season, the 24-year-old forward led the Rochester Americans in goals with 29 and ranked second on the team with 49 points in 59 games. His goal total matched his career high set in 2010-11 with the Portland Pirates in the AHL.
Last season Adam was called up to the Sabres twice.
In 87 games with Buffalo in his career he has 15 goals and 11 assists.
