Buffalo police said Thursday they were trying to track down four male suspects linked to late night and early morning assaults and robberies in the Elmwood Village area last week. Police spokesman Michael DeGeorge said two men robbed in the 600 block of Elmwood Avenue just before midnight July 17 said their attackers took cash, a cell phone and credit cards from them.

DeGeorge said a man who was injured in a separate early morning attack July 19 at Norwood Avenue and Bryant Street lost a cell phone and credit cards to his attackers. He was treated for injuries at the Erie County Medical Center.

Amid concern about recent incidents in the Elmwood Village area, police have added additional patrols and are asking anyone with information about these two or other recent incidents to call or text the Police confidential tipcall line at 847-2255.
