A 22-year-old Town of Colden man was arrested Monday by State Police and Erie County sheriff’s deputies for allegedly stalking his ex-girlfriend and falsely reporting that she drunkenly crashed into a Town of Boston mailbox and then drove off.

Richard Cerrone was taken into custody at his Cole Road home by sheriff’s deputies after they charged him with making a false report about a non-existing property damage accident. Cerrone was then taken Monday to the State Police station in Boston where his former girlfriend had already filed a complaint about him stalking and harassing her recently. Cerrone faces proceedings in Boston Town Court in several weeks in both cases.
