“Stars and Planets,” a family concert with a celestial theme, will be performed by the Clarence Summer Orchestra at 7 p.m. today in Town Park, 10405 Main St. The Buffalo Suzuki Strings will perform at 6:15.

Come early for dinner: The Rotary Club is sponsoring a Krolick’s chicken barbecue in the park from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Dinners are $10 and proceeds benefit the Clarence Concert Association.

This week:

• State Sen. Michael Ranzenhofer, R-Amherst, will provide an update at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday on developments in Albany when the Clarence Chamber of Commerce holds an after-hours business blender in Gertie’s Restaurant, 6010 Goodrich Road, Clarence Center. All are welcome; RSVP by calling 631-3888.

• Ashton Hollow brings the country sounds of Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert and Kenny Chesney to the lawn of the Asa Ransom House, 10529 Main St., at 7 p.m. Wednesday in another installment of the Clarence Hollow Association’s Summer Series. Lawn chairs are welcome. Refreshments will be available.

• The Clarence Town Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Town Hall, One Town Place. A work session begins at 6.

• Clarence Hollow Farmers’ Market runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at 10717 Main St., between Ransom and Salt roads.
