BryLin Behavioral Health System’s medical director, Dr. Brian Joseph, an American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology diplomate in forensic psychiatry, successfully passed the forensic psychiatry re-certification examination recently. A psychiatrist with more than 40 years of experience, he continues his forensic practice and general psychiatric practice in Buffalo and is also a member of the faculty at both Harvard Medical School and in the University at Buffalo’s department of psychiatry.


J. Adams and Associates named Thomas Panasci an associate. Panasci has more than five years of practice in matrimonial and family law in Manhattan. He was awarded his law degree from Syracuse University College of Law.


Ameriprise private wealth adviser Mark C. Massaro was recently named to the 2014 Chairman’s Advisory Council. He joins other advisers to discuss current issues and business opportunities with Ameriprise Financial Chairman and Chief Executive Officer James Cracchiolo and other financial leaders.

MVP Network Consulting, Buffalo, was awarded a $5,119 contract from the U.S. Naval Supply Systems Command, Kings Bay, Ga.


The Wyoming Foundation, a division of the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, recently distributed awards totaling more than $13,000 to 10 local nonprofit organizations for its 2014 grant cycle. Grants are awarded to Wyoming County programs that support youth preparedness in education as well as the arts and cultural sector. The grant recipients are: Arts Council for Wyoming County, $2,000; Buffalo Audubon Society, $1,000; Business Education Council, $1,960; Eagle Free Library, $500; Perry Public Library, $500; Perry Rotary Foundation/Read Around Perry, $500; Stevens Memorial Community Library, $2,000; Western New York Rural Area Health Education Center, $1,565; Wyoming Community Hospital Foundation, $1,940; and Wyoming Free Circulating Library Association, $1,445.
