The Daemen College Advanced Education Nursing Traineeship Program has received a $340,800 grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Rep. Brian Higgins, D-Buffalo, announces.

The grant will help train 45 students who will graduate with master of science degrees as adult-gerontology primary care practitioners. The program will focus on attracting veterans and minority students and help them find jobs in areas with shortages of health care professionals.
