ALL ABLOOM – More than 40 properties in South Buffalo and the Old First Ward will be showcased in South Buffalo Alive’s 14th annual Garden Tour from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. The tour is free and self-guided.

Visitors who make their first stop at Tim Russert’s Children’s Garden, 2002 South Park Ave. next to the Dudley Library, can pick up a tour brochure from volunteers, who will be on hand from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. For info, visit the South Buffalo Alive page on Facebook.


EVERYTHING MUST GO – Art supplies, furniture, picture frames, shelving, found art, they’re all part of “Clearing the Corners,” a sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday in the Carnegie Art Center, 240 Goundry St., North Tonawanda. BARGAIN HUNT – St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 930 Lake St., Angola, will hold a yard and rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, followed by a bag sale from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday. There also will be a bake sale both days.


HOG HEAVEN – New York Chapter 3, Hogs & Heroes Foundation Inc., hosts its annual motorcycle poker run and after-party Saturday at Eden Post 8265, Veterans of Foreign Wars, 2551 March Road.

Registration for the poker run begins at 10:30 a.m., with a biker blessing at 11:45 and kickstands up at noon for a 90-plus-mile ride through Eden, Springville, Gowanda and Ellicottville.

Riders, nonriders and families are welcome at the party at 3 p.m., where there will be a BW’s barbecue, vendors, live bands and children’s activities, including face-painting and bounce houses.

Tickets for the poker run and party are $20 for bikers and $10 for passengers, meal and beverage included. Party tickets are $15, including a meal and beverage. Part of the proceeds benefit Camp Corral for children of wounded, disabled and fallen military service members. For info, tickets, donations and to volunteer, call 715-7500.


SLICE OF IRELAND – Singer John McDermott, formerly of the Irish Tenors, will be the special guest at the 19th annual Police Emerald Society Pig Roast from 4 to 11 p.m. July 25 in the Bison City Rod & Gun Club, 511 Ohio St. Tickets are $25, including food, beverages and music, and may be purchased at the door or in advance by calling Jeremiah S.
