History Center has spaces for kids’ Wednesday programs

LOCKPORT – Space is still available for children ages 7 to 12 to take part in a series of Wednesday programs in the History Center of Niagara, 215 Niagara St. All programs run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The program costs $20 per week and begins Wednesday with “Animation Day,” in which kids learn how cartoons are made and make animated toys to take home.

Other offerings include Cowboy Day July 23; Ancient Egypt Day July 30; and Civil War Spy Day Aug. 6.

The price includes all hands-on activities, craft materials and an afternoon snack. The programs are conducted by museum staff and volunteers from the Niagara County Historical Society. Parents may leave their children for the duration of the program.
