A Holland man was arrested on a felony count of driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop in Wales Thursday night, Erie County sheriff’s officials said today.
Joseph A. Seeley, 26, was charged with a felony because of previous DWI convictions in 2008, 2009 and 2010 as well as felony aggravated unlicensed operation, due to his prior arrests. He was also charged with a misdemeanor count of driving a vehicle without an ignition interlock device and three traffic infractions – imprudent speed, unsafe turn and littering.
Erie County Sheriff’s deputies saw Seeley throw a plastic cup out the window of his vehicle. He refused to submit to a breath test.
This was the Sheriff’s Road Patrols’ 128th DWI arrest of the year.
