Shingles are stolen from Wheatfield business

WHEATFIELD – Thieves are suspected of removing 21 bundles of shingles, valued at $1,311, from a Lockport Road business, the Niagara County Sheriff Department reported on Thursday.

An employee of 84 Lumber, 2181 Lockport Road, told deputies that he was alerted by a customer that there were bundles of shingles outside of the fenced in area on June 21 and more bundles were found near the fence on Thursday.

An inventory found that 21 bundles of various shingles have been stolen over the past month, according to the sheriff patrol report.
