A 17-year-old East Side man reported that he was assaulted by a gang about 6:20 p.m. Wednesday at Riley Street and Masten Avenue.
The victim told police that three unknown men hit him in the head with a crowbar, causing him to lose four teeth. The gang also stabbed him in the shoulder with a pocket knife, Central District police reported.
The victim said he lost consciousness during the assault and had bruises and scratches on his body.
One of the suspects wore a white T-shirt and another a green tank top.
A nearby store owner reportedly has video surveillance of the incident. An investigation is pending, police said.
