NIAGARA FALLS – A 24-year-old man said three men assaulted him, one cutting him with a box cutter, outside of a liquor store in the 1800 block of Pine Avenue at 11:45 p.m. Saturday.

The suspects ran off with a $20 bottle of cognac according to the victim.

The victim told police that a man he knows as “Bobble” and two others began hitting him. During the fight Bobble had a box cutter and sliced the right side of his face and left elbow.

A cousin of the victim intervened and broke up the fight, according to a police report. The victim was taken by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center where he was treated and received stitches on his right cheek and left elbow.

In a related report, a man known as “Bobble” allegedly fired two rounds from a gun out of the driver’s side window while he was driving southbound in the 700 block of 17th Street at 9:30 p.m. Saturday. The 31-year-old victim said one bullet struck the front bumper of his vehicle. Two other unknown suspects were in the vehicle, according to the victim.
