Obama has no problem ignoring the Constitution

How misguided and indeed disturbing that a recent letter writer refers to the president of the United States as a “sovereign.” Some definitions of which include, having supreme rank or power, being above all others in importance, power and authority, a king.

Perhaps he is confused because Obama behaves as if he were a sovereign and not an elected official who is subject to the rule of law, that being the Constitution. We can only hope that few other citizens hold the writer’s view, but with Obama as president it is important to remind them of the proper and legally limited power of a president.
