Buffalo shooting victim dies in ECMC

Two men were shot early Sunday on Buffalo’s East Side, and one of them died later in the day, police said.

The victim, described as 21 years old, died after he was taken to Erie County Medical Center. His identity was not disclosed.

The other victim, 20 years old, was released after treatment in ECMC.

The men were in a vehicle in the Genesee Street-Wasmuth Avenue area near the Kensington Expressway when they were struck by gunfire just after 1:45 a.m., Buffalo detectives said.
