Niagara County legislator is victim of identity theft

PORTER – A member of the Niagara County Legislature is the victim of identity theft.

Legislature Vice Chairman Clyde Burmaster told Niagara County sheriff’s deputies Monday that someone used his credit card to make purchases totaling $450 last weekend. Burmaster said he was not charged for the transactions. The case remains under investigation.
