Benefit raises $21,500 for Roswell Park

The first Buffalo Goes Gray event, a night of food, beverages and music May 2 in the Buffalo Iron Works to benefit brain tumor and brain cancer research and treatment, raised $21,500 for Roswell Park Cancer Institute, organizer Alyson Walter reports.

The proceeds will support the SuraVax M vaccine for patients with glioma, a brain tumor. Walter, a 2005 graduate of Williamsville North High School, founded Buffalo Goes Gray to support Roswell Park after recovering from her second brain tumor surgery in 2012.
