The Historic Buffalo River Tour will be offered five times this summer. The two-hour tour covers the history, architecture and technology of the grain elevators, flour mills and other industries along the Buffalo River and City Ship Canal.

The Industrial Heritage Committee tours are July 4 (12:30 p.m.), July 20 (12:30 p.m.), Aug. 2 (10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.) , Aug. 17 (12:30 p.m.) and Sept. 1 (10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.).

All tours leave the Miss Buffalo Dock, Erie Basin Marina. Cost is $18 for adults, $12 children 4 to 11. For reservations, call 856-6696. For more information, go to buffaloindustrialheritage.com.

A free tour of the Co. Francis G. Ward Pumping Station will also be offered at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 20. It’s located at the foot of Porter Avenue at LaSalle Park. Meet at the Porter Avenue gate at the corner of D.A.R. Drive.
