The artful Buffalo collaborative ELAB (Emerging Leaders in the Arts Buffalo) along with those at the helm of rising cultural attraction Silo City, are holding the third annual City of Night from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. June 28. This multimedia affair happens in the shadow of grain elevators at the edge of the Buffalo River. Last year, the event drew 12,000 revelers.
The event includes site-specific art installations with industrial and city-centric themes, interactive and temporal art happenings, live music and dance performances all taking place in and among the grain elevators on Childs Street in the city’s Old First Ward. Food trucks, Flying Bison and Leonard Oakes Estate Winery will be providing sustenance.
The event is free. V.I.P. tickets are available at $100 each and include a preview of City of Night from 8 to 11 p.m. on June 27, as well as unlimited water taxi service from Canalside, dedicated cash bar and porta-potty, and catered food by Lloyd Taco Truck. Bike valet service at City of Night will be available for everyone shunning automobiles that evening.
