LOCKPORT – A Town of Lockport man was sentenced to three years probation in Niagara County Court on Tuesday for possession of morphine pills last year in the town.

Alexander J. Dracup, 20, of Dysinger Road, pleaded guilty on April 8 in Niagara County Court and admitted to seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance before Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas. He had originally been charged on May 14, 2013 with selling the pills to a police informant, but those charges were dismissed as part of a plea deal. Farkas also ordered Dracup to enter the TASC, treatment alternatives to street crimes, program for 15 months while on probation and pay a surcharge of $200.

Dracup told Farkas he has learned from his error. He said he got a job and went back to school.
