All that’s left is wisdom
Pop icon Sting says his children won’t be getting trust funds from his vast fortune, assuming there’s any money left in it
The 16-time Grammy Award winner and former frontman of the Police, told the Mail on Sunday that the vast wealth would be “albatrosses” around the necks of his six children.
Sting, who grew up in a shipbuilding community in northeast England says he told the kids, “there won’t be much money left because we are spending it!”
“People make assumptions, that they were born with a silver spoon in their mouth, but they have not been given a lot,” he was quoted as saying.
Sting’s wealth was estimated at $306 million by the Sunday Times Rich List.
Gomez stalker sentenced
A homeless man has been ordered to undergo psychological treatment after pleading no contest to stalking Selena Gomez.
Los Angeles County prosecutors say Che Thomas Cruz entered the plea Friday and was told to spend six months in a residential treatment facility followed by a year of psychological treatment.
He’ll also have to stay 200 yards away from the singer-actress and her home for 10 years.
Authorities say Cruz went to the home of Gomez twice and was arrested in March for breaking into her guesthouse in suburban Calabasas.
He pleaded no contest in April to a misdemeanor trespassing charge.
Cruz spent two days in jail and hours after his release he jumped a fence at Gomez’s home and was rearrested.
