Fundraising software developer SofTrek promoted Chantale Onesi-Gonzalez to manager, client services. Onesi-Gonzalez holds dual bachelor’s degrees from SUNY Buffalo State.


Damon Morey attorneys Victoria L. D’Angelo and Jennifer G. Flannery served as co-chairwoman and faculty, respectively, for the New York State Bar Association Trusts and Estates Law Section seminar titled “Discovery Proceedings in Surrogate’s Court: How to Fight Them and How to Avoid Them.”


The New York State Council of Health-System Pharmacists honored Kimberly Zammit with the 2014 Debra B. Feinberg Board of Directors Award. The prestigious award is given to individuals of high moral character, good citizenship and a history of long-term contribution to the profession. Zammit, clinical pharmacy coordinator in Critical Care/Cardiology at Buffalo General Medical Center, is a past president of the council and has served on its board of directors.

Three Niagara Wine Trail Wineries, Schulze Vineyards and Winery, Arrowhead Spring Vineyards and The Winery at Marjim Manor of the Niagara Wine Trail, were honored at the recent competitions. Schulze Vineyards and Winery received the Double Gold award for its 2012 Block Three Ice Wine, along with Silver awards for its 2012 Vidal Blanc Ice Wine, 2012 Siegfried, Thirty Mile Point, 2012 Vidal Blanc and Ruby offerings at the Tasters Guild Competition. Arrowhead Spring Vineyards was honored with a Gold for its 2011 Syrah, Silver Award for its 2010 Meritage and Bronze Award for its 2012 Pinot Noir, and Schulze Vineyards and Winery also received Silver awards for both its 2012 Block Three Ice Wine and 2012 Vidal Blanc Ice Wine at the 33rd annual Riverside International Wine Competition. The Winery at Marjim Manor’s Fifty Windows wine, made with the native Niagara grape, was awarded a Best of Class and Gold medal at the competition the Pacific Rim Wine Competition.


Merchants Insurance Group received the Buffalo Chapter of the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter Society Excellence Award. The award was granted to Merchants based on the company’s long-standing dedication to insurance education and professionalism, and through continuous support to the members of the Buffalo chapter.
