The Brothers of Mercy will break ground at 3 p.m. Wednesday for an $18 million independent senior living project opening in the fall of 2015.

The Montabaur Heights senior apartment complex will be a full-service facility that will include daily meals, housekeeping, fitness center, library, a movie theatre and a number of other amenities.

“Our goal is to become a destination for seniors in the community where they can have access to complete medical care if need arises without ever leaving the campus,” said Peter Eimer, chief operating officer for the Brothers.

Montabaur Heights is the first phase of a planned $42 million investment in the 126-acre campus on Ransom Road.
