JAMESTOWN – A 28-year-old Spring Street man was arrested, and Jamestown Police and State Troopers reported recovering a quantity of heroin and about $6,000 in cash during a noontime raid on his home.

Leslie Rodriguez, currently in custody in the city jail, was reportedly trying to flush some heroin down the toilet when the raiding party broke into his house at 614 Spring Street about 12:30 p.m.

In connection with a continuing investigation of the sale and trafficking of heroin in the Jamestown area, Rodriquez was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third-degree and tampering with physical evidence.
